Vail Colorado Lodging
Vail offers many choices when it comes to lodging; ranging from the utilitarian to the luxurious.
Vail lodging choices include:
- Hotels in Vail offer the full range all the way from the budget-minded to those wanting true resort experiences.
- Condos in Vail help you enjoy your stay in Vail without spending hotel prices for services that you won’t use. You’ll get a kitchenette or small apartment feel for your price instead. Families with small children love the suite living arrangements and having an “open” kitchen.
- Vacation Homes offer private residences for your stay. Great for family get-together or corporate events, you can keep everybody close enough for extra bonding time between time on the slopes and out on the town.
WHERE TO STAY?
- Vail Village – Best location for ski-in/ski-out accommodations. Includes The Lodge at Vail, Chateau Vail, The Wren, Vail’s Mountain Haus, and Manor Vail Resort
- Lionshead – basic lodging and more townhouses and condos. Evergreen Lodge, Lodge at Lionshead, Lion Square Lodge, Landmark Townhouses
- West Vail – this where you’ll find budget focused accommodations.
- East Vail – mostly a residential area, you’ll find many upscale vacation home rentals here. Vail Racquet Club Townhomes and Condominiums located here.
TIPS
- Don’t get too fixated on lodging categories. Many lodging establishments offer more than one type of accommodations. Some may offer both hotels and condos, for example.
- Make your plans EARLY. Accommodations get booked early during the winter season.
- Consider coming back out to Vail during the summer for another vacation. Rates are much lower, less crowds, and it’s even WARMER!
- Consider what you want out of your accommodations before you comparison shop. Otherwise you’ll be comparing apples to oranges.
- Depending on your interests, you may also want to consider staying at a Bed and Breakfast or roughing it in one of many campsites, cabins, huts, or yurts available around Vail.
